North Leeward Senior Cricket bowls off

The 2004 Vinlec/North Leeward Senior Cricket Tournament bowls off this weekend with matches at two venues.
At Richmond, defending champions D’Affairs will come up against Mr. Cool Uprising Youths, while at Troumaca Bay, Troumaca United will face off with Rangers of Coulls Hill.{{more}}
Both games commence at 10 a.m.
Ten teams are lined up for this year’s tournament, one more than last year. The teams are divided into two zones.
Zone 1 comprises D’Affairs, Mr. Cool Uprising Youths, Abuja 1, Abuja 2 and Smokey.
Zone two includes Troumaca, Enforcers, Peto United, Rangers and Somerset.
In other North Leeward sporting action, the St. David North Leeward Sports Association team, in the Bottlers First Division Competition, took first innings points over Log Masters.
North Leeward powered by Orlando Charles, 91, reached 170 for 9. Log Masters with 91 in their first innings were 160 for 9 when play ended.
Angus Cyrus, 5 for 20, did the damage in Log Masters’ first innings. Right arm fast bowler Desroy Samuel, a Petit Bordel secondary school student, 7 for 45, was the pick of the bowlers in the second innings.
Former national player Elvis Browne put in a good all round display for Log Masters with figures of 4 for 46 and 50 in his team’s second innings.
