Family has been my pillar of support over the years – Davy
Without the support of her family, Dr Jose Davy’s Better Health Centre would not have been celebrating its 10th year on Sunday.
“I would like to express my gratitude to the persons who have over the years made this possible,” Dr Davy told SEARCHLIGHT recently.
This Sunday July 19, Dr Davy’s Better Health Centre marks 10 years in operation
Among the persons who made her journey possible are her grandmother Ruth Noel, her mother Daisy Davy, her father Josiah Williams, her uncle Lawrence Noel and godfather Winston Davis.
“My grandmother is like a guiding light and is a ‘you can take over the world’ kind of person and she would always say that to me.
“My mom is a go getter type of person so when you see that you have to practice the same thing,” Dr Davy explained.
She revealed that her father died when she was 17 years old and she remembers him as being a very humorous person filled with love.
“My uncle Lawrence was a sort of replacement for my dad and my godfather Winston Davis, affectionately called uncle grandpa was very supportive,” she said while explaining where her strength comes from.
She stressed also that she is encouraged by the thought that there are a lot of people who “will put their head on a block for me”.
