Harris Paints
The company began operations in September 1946 at 1010 North 19th Street, Tampa, Florida,USA.
Harris Paints Barbados Limited, however, was formed in September 1972. Operations started in the heart of Bridgetown. In January 1973, the company sought and obtained a technological agreement with Harris Paints of Tampa, Florida, an offspring of Grow Chemical Company, manufacturers of paint throughout the USA.{{more}} This led to the opening of a manufacturing plant in Lowlands, Christ Church, producing emulsion and oil paints for the local market. In 1974, Harris moved its operations to the old BICO Building in Bay St. where it remained until 1979 when it moved to a more spacious location at Wildey Industrial Park, St. Michael, its current Headquarters. Harris is a leading supplier of commercial paints.
Sissons
Sissons Paints was established in 1956 and has been a leader in the local and regional paint industry from the outset.
Having established themselves in Trinidad and Tobago, Sissons sought to broaden its horizons and opened another paint factory in Grenada – Sissons Paints (Grenada) Limited, which would ideally serve those countries which were within closer proximity to them.
Sissons Paints has set the pace for product development in the Caribbean. The group of companies offers a wide variety of decorative and protective coatings: these include light and heavy industrial coatings, furniture finishes and marine paints.
Kaleido Scope
The late Stephen S. Parson founded Kaleidoscope Paints Limited in 1970 – the first 100% locally owned paint manufacturing company in Trinidad and Tobago. Over the years, the company has evolved to ensure that at any given point, the needs of its ever-expanding customer base were being adequately met. Quality has always been and continues to be a number one priority at Kaleidoscope Paints Limited.
