One hundred and thirty Delegates from Jamaica, Turks and Caicos, Anguilla, Antigua, Barbados, Grenada, Trinidad and Tobago and host country SVG attended the conference. Federation President, Dr Hilary-Kay Young, and four members of her board attended. Two other Federations were also represented, the Federation of the Americas and the Federation of Europe.

The Conference looked at Constitutional changes for the Caribbean due to recent changes to the construct of the Caribbean Network. They heard reports from the 17 clubs in the Caribbean on their work through service projects to advance human rights and the status of women. There was a training session on Thursday, June 19 by two Federation Trainers from the UK, which encouraged members to take on executive positions. The module for the session was “Preparing for Office”.

Saint Vincent and the Grenadines was chartered 20 years ago on July 14, 1987 by past Federation President Kate Fussell, who also attended to celebrate this momentous occasion. This was celebrated with a friendship evening and a Charter Banquet.

The week also saw time for socializing in the evenings. The highlight of the week will be the Charter Banquet and Change of Insignia ceremony which will take place at the Aquatic Club on Saturday, July 21. For members staying on, an island tour and trip to Bequia has been arranged which will allow guests to see our beautiful islands.
