‘Face Mapping’ – Decoding your pimples
Take a look at that pimple that just came up on your forehead. It’s easy to take it for granted, because it will be gone in a day or two, right? Interestingly, the location of that pimple is a good indication of what caused it. This is called Face Mapping, which is linking the location of your acne to the possible causes.
Pimples on the forehead could mean that you’re super stressed out, or you have an irregular sleep schedule. Find ways to minimize your stress and discipline yourself to getting at least eight hours of sleep a night to avoid them.
Eating something salty after a few drinks is the best way to sober up, but the breakout on your nose the day after will make you regret your decisions. Trade in that alcohol for a tall glass of water and swap that fatty, fried chicken for a slice or two of avocado with your meal.
If you haven’t washed your makeup brushes in a while, this could be the cause of that nasty breakout on your cheek. If you wash your brushes regularly and still suffer from acne on the cheeks, you should wash or clean the things which come into contact with your face, like your pillow cases and cell phone.
If those pimples pop up around the chin and jawline, it may be that time of the month. Pimples in this area indicate a hormone imbalance, which is not uncommon during your period. So, give your face that extra love it deserves with a facial steam or a purifying mask.
Knowing exactly why your face is breaking out is the first step to proper skin care. I hope this guide helps!
