Uses of Castor Oil

I know what you’re thinking; isn’t castor oil just to be taken when you need help in the bathroom? No. I was told of one of these uses by a co-worker when my hair started thinning after pregnancy. After that I checked it out and this is what I found.

Skin Care

Castor oil works great to remove tiredness from around your eyes. Just rub a little around your eyes and even on your eyelashes. {{more}}It will soak in overnight and leave you looking and feeling more refreshed.

Apply directly to your skin if you want a more youthful glow. This oil is great for eliminating and preventing wrinkles and for pregnant women. Castor oil rubbed into the skin can help to improve elasticity and prevent stretch marks caused by pregnancy.

It’s a great treatment for deep cystic acne. It decreases the inflammation and kills bacteria, which helps clear it up. It works really quickly, so put some on before you go to bed and you will notice a drastic improvement when you wake in the morning.

Massage into your feet to help with the pain and dryness of corns and calluses. It will ultimately make them disappear over time and keeps feet and toes moisturized and healthy. Great for your fingernails as well, to give you long, healthy, beautiful nails.

Hair Care

If you tend to have dry scalp or dandruff, you can rub a little into your scalp and massage it in to alleviate the flakes and itchiness. It also helps prevent and repair split ends. Just apply a few drops directly to the ends of your hair to reduce the amount of breakage that you see.

If you have balding areas on your scalp, or just want thicker hair, you can massage a bit into the affected area for about six minutes every day to promote natural hair growth. This also works on eyebrows. Just massage a bit into them daily and you’re guaranteed results.
