ON THE PASSING OF MY DAD
In Celebration of the Life of Frederick B. D. Providence
Lord, I will not ask why
Even though I may cry
But I certainly want to say thanks
For the joy, the wisdom, and the love
That I received from my Dad.
He raised me from my high school years
Something Iâll neâer forget
And to this day, I still can say
âMy Dad, he gave his best!â
I thank you Lord for his grandson
You gave to me to care
The joy, the love, the wisdom too
Lord, help me with him to share
The manners and the discipline, he so profoundly taught
Help me dear Lord to pass them on
Even though not so severe.
I thank you for the siblings too
You provided and kept close
Help us dear Lord to live and love
As our Dad taught us to.
I also want to thank you Lord, for a family so big
For aunties, uncles, cousins, All; where eâer on earth they live.
Oh Susan how could you forget, the many friends he had
Who shared their love before he passed
And in moments now so sad
But most of all I thank you Lord
For a father oh so strong, A CLASSIC!
Yes the one gave, the one you took
The wee hours that Friday morn.
We love you Dad, Uncle Fred, Granpa
And guess what? We always willâ¦
