Three to vye for SVGCA Inc presidency
Three persons, Daniel Mc Millan, Dougal James and Rommel Currency have been canvassing for the support of affiliates, to be president of the St Vincent and the Grenadines Cricket Association Inc.
The trio will be seeking the top post at tomorrow’s Annual General Meeting, set for the President’s Suite of the Arnos Vale Playing Field.
All three have served the organisation before, but not in the capacity of president. McMillan is a former treasurer, while James and Currency served as committee members.
One of the three will take over the leadership of the SVGCA Inc. from Dr Kishore Shallow, who cannot stand for re- election, because of the term limits. Shallow was first elected in 2014, and has held on to the post for three consecutive two-year terms, a total of six years.
Others posts up for election are the first and second vice – president, secretary, assistant secretary, treasurer, assistant secretary and four committee members.
The election of the new executive will be the highlight of the AGM, which will hear the executive and treasurer’s reports.
