Kesrick Williams to feature in US open T/20 tournament
Vincentan right-arm fast bowler Kesrick Williams will line up for Atlanta Param Veers in this year’s United States (US) Open Twenty20 cricket tournament which takes place December 15-20 at the Central Broward Regional Park in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Williams, who recently represented the West Indies in a T/20 international series late last month in New Zealand, will play alongside fellow Caribbean players Chris Gayle, Rayad Emrit, Akeal Hosein, Khary Pierre, Fabian Allen and Maquino Mindley. Emrit has been named the team’s captain.
With Atlanta Param Veers, being Williams’ newest T/20 franchise he represents, adds to his previous outings wih the Jamaica Tallawahs, St Lucia Zouks, St Lucia Stars, Kamataka Tuskers, Rajshahi Kings, Toronto Nationals, Chattogram Challengers and Chittagong Vikings.
Atlanta Param Veers are in Group B of the tournament. Also in that group are 22 Yards, Afghan Zwanan, and Brampton Pacers.
This is the 12th year of the hosting of the US Open T/20 cricket tournament.
