SVGCC netball semi-finals set for tomorrow

The semi-finals of the ECGC Island Sipz Water SVG Community College Invitational Netball competition are set for tomorrow, Wednesday, December 2, at the Sion Hill Playing Field hard court.

In semifinal one from 2:30 p.m., Troumaca Secondary School and Year Two Arts, Sciences and General Studies, will square off, and from 3:30 p.m., the Division of Teacher Education oppose the Bethel Young Lasses.

When the final preliminary round matches were played yesterday, Bethel High School were given a lifeline when Year One Technical and Vocational did not show for their encounter.

The win meant that Bethel Young Lasses edged Year Two Technical and Vocation on a better goal differential, thus gaining a semi-final place.

Also yesterday, Year Two Technical and Vocational defeated Barrouallie Secondary School 17-12,s while Troumaca Secondary School had the better of Year Two Arts, Sciences and General Studies 26-16.

The winners of tomorrow’s semi-finals, will meet in Friday’s final, while the losers play for the third place.
Following Friday’s final, the presentation and closing ceremony will take place.
