Kesrick Williams in West Indies T/20 team
VINCENTIAN RIGHT-ARM fast bowler Kesrick Williams has been retained in the West Indies T/20 team for the tour to New Zealand, next month.
The T/20 Internationals are set for Eden Park, November 27 and at Bay Oval on November 28 and November 30.
Williams was part of the last West Indies T/20 series versus Ireland here in the Caribbean, earlier this year.
He has appeared in 25 T/20 Internationals for the West Indies since his debut in 2016, taking 41 wickets.
Williams’ tally of wickets is the most by a T/20 international bowler since the 2016 ICC World Cup.
The full team for the three T/20 matches in New Zealand, reads Kieron Pollard (captain), Fabian Allen, Dwayne Bravo, Sheldon Cottrell, Andre Fletcher, Shimron Hetmyer, Brandon King, Kyle Mayers, Rovman Powell, Keemo Paul, Nicholas Pooran, Oshane Thomas and Hayden Walsh Jr.
Following the three T/20Is, the West Indies will engage New Zealand in two test matches. The first is set for December 3 to
7 at Seddon Park, Hamilton and the second, December 11 to 15, at the Basin Reserve at Wellington.
