Parnell Browne’s century steers Police One into 20/20 quarter finals

Parnell Browne helped himself to 11 fours and 9 sixes, as he lashed 123 for Police One last Saturday at the Park Hill Playing Field in the Neil Williams 20/20 cricket competition. Browne’s knock and 84 from Gosnel Cupid, saw Police One to 279 for 3 versus Dominic Sutherland/ Lloyd Lewis Memorial Cricket team.

In response, Dominic Sutherland/ Lloyd Lewis Memorial Cricket team folded for 49. Elmore Alexander took 3 for 6 and Renford Jack, 2 for 12, as Police One won by a whopping 230 runs.

Also on Saturday, North Windward Combine stopped Victors Two by five wickets at Arnos Vale One.

Victors Two scored 72 all out from 16 overs. Denis Byam scored 25. Bowling for North Windward Combine, Sealron Williams took 3 for 12 and Dean Browne, 3 for 20.

North Windward Combine scored 75 for 5, with Desron Lavia scoring 25. Kishore Shallow took 3 for 28.

But there was little play on Sunday, as rain affected all the matches.

At Sion Hill, North Windward Combine beat Carlos James MSDA Jules Anthony Northern Stars by three wickets in an 11-over affair.

Northern Stars scored 97 for 3 from their 11 overs, with Jade Matthews hitting 44. North Windward Combine replied with 98 for 7 from 10.4 overs. Shem Browne scored 58.

Maxwell Edwards had 3/13 and Jade Matthews- 2/14.

Little play took place at the Park Hill Playing Field, between FLOW Rivals and Dominic Sutherland/ Lloyd Lewis Memorial Cricket team. When the match ended, Dominic Sutherland/ Lloyd Lewis Memorial Cricket team were 52 for 2 from nine overs.

There was no play possible in the Keegan’s Bequia XI versus Police Two at Arnos Vale; likewise, Strike Eagles against Victors One at Sion Hill and Victors Two versus FLOW Radcliffe at Arnos Vale.

Saints, Rivals, Police One, Radcliffe, Police Two, Northern Stars, North Windward Combine and Victors One are through to the quarter-finals.
