Saleme George, the hard hitter in TBPO softball cricket

Saleme George slammed 128, reaching his centrury off just 28 balls, for Hard Hitters last Saturday at the Dauphine Playing Field in the National Lotteries Authority TBPO 20/20 competition.

George’s innings pushed Hard Hitters to 203 for 6 in their 17 overs, against Stag Older Boys, as the match was reduced because of a late start. Niko Robinson chipped in with 30.

Bowling for Older Boys, Rohan King took 2 for 26 and Wayne Garraway, 2 for 36.

Older Boys were held at bay at 95 for 4 from 17 overs. Sheldon Da Souza scored 39. Hard Hitters won by 108 runs
Before George’s onslaught and Hard Hitters’ comfortable win over D’ Blocks 7 Trucking, Gomea Bombers had crafted a three-wicket win over Fairbaine Chennai Strikers.

Batting first, Chennai Strikers were dismissed for 77 in 15.3 overs. Shane Edwards scored 19.

Raymond had 3 for 9 and Allen Williams, 3 for 13.

In response, Gomea Bombers made 80 for 7 in 17.2 overs. Nickie Antoine took 2 for 7 and Jimmy Providence, 2 for 17.
All of last Sunday’s matches were rained out, with the points shared.

Dr Thomas Injectors were set to meet Nice Radio Clinchers; CGM Gallagher Novice were to meet Bruce Law Chambers Smashers and New Level versus Rangers United.
