NCW overpowers North Leeward in friendly

North Central Windward beat their North Leeward counterparts in a friendly encounter last Saturday at the Cumberland Playing Field last Saturday.

Batting first, North Leeward made 79 all out from 15.4 overs . Dexroy Hooper hit 23, while Elroy King took 3 for 22, bowling for North Central Windward.

In reply, North Central Windward scored 80 for 5 from 13.4 overs, with Kodi Grant leading the way with 26 not out. Kirtney Franklyn had 3 for 22, for North Leeward.

The two teams will meet in the return match on August 22.

Last Saturday’s match was the culmination of the official launch of the Jules Anthony Cricket Club, the cricket academy and the fitness academy.
