SVGCA Inc cancels club championships… defers T/20

The executive of the St Vincent and the Grenadines Cricket Association Inc has decided to cancel the National Club Championship – the 50-overs tournament.

The championship was to have followed the completion of the National Lotteries Authority Premier Division and the NLA First Divison.

According to the make-up of the national club championship, the four top teams in the Premier Division will square off against the corresponding four top teams in the First Division in an elimination format.

With the 2020 edition shelved, it means that Police Two, which won back to back titles in 2018 and 2019, stay as champions.

But the SVGCA Inc’s executive has decided to push back the NLA Neil Williams T20 tournament, which was to be hosted in June/ July.

Instead the T/20 tournament should now take place in September/ October.
