THE EXECUTIVE OF the St Vincent and the Grenadines Squash Association has put the brakes on its events for the next three months.
This is because of the pending threats of the coronavirus (COVID-19).
Hence, the planned national junior championships, which was set for last Friday and Saturday, has been deferred, so too is the national doubles championships which was planned for April 6 to 9.
Also placed on pause are the junior graded championships, which would have been convened April 22 to 25, as well as the senior national championships, May 5 to 8.
Meanwhile, the inaugural SVG General Services masters open, May 28 to 31 and the SVG General Services open, June 18 to 21, have also been shelved until further notice.
Additionally, the junior development programme has been suspended.
The SVG Squash Association stated that it will provide updates regarding the “planned resumption of the junior development programme and reschedule dates of postponed” tournaments.
