SVGCC invitational volleyball title retained

LAST YEAR’S CHAMPIONS of the QuickCash Corp. SVG Community College invitational volleyball competition, are still the Division of Arts, Science and General Studies team two.

The outfit kept its reign on the title, with a straight sets triumph over their counterparts, the Division of Arts, Science and General Studies, team one, last Friday at the Arnos Vale Netball complex. The scoreline was 25-17, 25-14, 25-22.

Taking the third spot were the Medical Schools Combined, as they overcame Technical and Vocational Education 3 -1 (25-21, 25-20, 20-25, 25-22).

National player Ronaldo Franklyn was adjudged player of the final, while Jamion John was voted as the competition’s Most Valuable Male Player.

Ettonia Antrobus copped the Most Valuable Female Player award.

Other individual awards scooped, saw Kemuel John of the Division of Technical and Vocational Education; Hamza Sheikh of the Medical Schools Combined, Jamion John -Division of Arts, Sciences and General Studies team one and Ronaldo Franklyn -Division of Arts, Sciences and General Studies team two, their respective team’s Most Valuable Player.

Among the female participants, Alliyah Laborde was the MVP for the Division of Technical and Vocational Education, Natalie Aremu – Medical Schools Combined, with Stephanie Ross, the recipient for the Division of Arts, Sciences and General Studies team one and Ettonia Antrobus – the Division of Arts, Sciences and General Studies team two.
