Yorke House trumps CSS’ first track and field title

Yorke House (Green), with a tally of 548 points, won the first ever Canouan Secondary School’s (CSS) track and field meet, which culminated last Thursday at the Friendship Playing Field in Canouan.

The inaugural champion, thus pipped Ollivierre House ( Blue), which scored 543 points.

But the individual titles were shared between the two competing houses.

Yorke House copped both male titles, as Emmanuel Williams was the junior champion with 36 points and Ryan Soleyn, the intermediate champion.

Soleyn’s 52 points, also handed him the Victor Ludorum title.

Meanwhile, Ollivierre House took the female titles that were at stake, as Terriann Bynoe was the junior female champion and Gailann Armstrong, the intermediate champion.

Bynoe registered 40 points and Armstrong, 51. Armstrong was also the victrix ludorum.

The Canouan Secondary School, which opened last September, has a student population of 18.
