FLOW teams gushing in premier division cricket

Both FLOW Radcliffe and FLOW Rivals were in command of last weekend’s National Lotteries Authority premier division matches of the national cricket programme.

Leaders FLOW Radcliffe had a five-wicket win over the Guardian General Saints at Arnos Vale One.

Saints scored 142 all out in their first innings. Kevin Samuel scored 47 not out. Asif Hooper took 5 for 40.

Gidron Pope led with 32, as Radcliffe replied with 148 all out.

Bowling for Saints, Jeremy Haywood took 3 for 14 and Jahiel Walters, 3 for 57.

Saints’ second innings ended at 112 all out, with Alex Samuel making 55, as Rasheed Fredericks grabbed 5 for 13.

Set 107 to win, Radcliffe got to 110 for 5 in 16.4 overs. Gidron Pope stroked 53 not out. Ray Charles had 3 for 52.

At the Sion Hill Playing Field, Rivals were more ruthless, as they thrashed Police Two by an innings and 33 runs.

Rivals posted 358 for 9, on the back of 146 from Hyron Shallow and 117 from Lindon James, both former national player.

Darius Martin was the pick of Police Two’s bowling, taking 4 for 56.

In reply, Police Two made 91, with Deighton Butler snaring 3 for 11.

Behind by 267, Police Two battled to 234 in their second innings.

Kesrick Williams, 79, Salvan Browne, 47 and Andrew Thomas, 44, were the main contributors to Police Two’s second innings total. Dyke Cato bagged 5 for 61.
