Biabou softball cricket competition hosts three matches
OWIA YOUNG STRIKERS, Hard Hitters and Bank of SVG All Stars were in winner’s row last weekend, as the Biabou twenty/20 softball cricket competition hosted three matches at the Biabou Playing Field.
On Saturday, Owia Young Strikers outplayed AIA Jets by 90 runs.
Owia Young Strikers 192/8 from their 20 overs; Shawn Henry – 74 and Kurtlan Lavia – 51.
Akeem Charles took 4/29, for AIA Jets, who were dismissed for 102 in 16.1 overs.
Ezra Jacobs made 36, while Daverson Lavia had 4/10 and Dean Browne-3/20.
On Sunday, Hard Hitters beat Just for the Fun by eight wickets.
Just for the Fun- 90/8 from 15 overs. Tyrese Baptiste had 2/1, Trivin Baptiste- 2/16 and Olson Lavia had 2/23, Hard Hitters- 94/2 in 9.5 overs; Tyrese Baptiste- 27 and Trivin Baptiste- 26.
And, Bank of SVG All Stars made light work of Bruce Law Chambers Nar Fren Dem, winning by 142 runs.
All Stars made 151 for 3 from their 15 overs, as the match was reduced because of a late start.
Glenroy Dascent led with 45 and Asquith Mapp- 35.
Nar Fren Dem with only seven players replied with 9 for 6 in 4.4 overs. Kelly Murray grabbed 5 for 4, bowling for Bank of SVG All Stars.
