National cricket programme bowls off this weekend

THE NATIONAL Lotteries Premier Division and the National Lotteries First Division of the national cricket programme of the St Vincent and the Grenadines Cricket Association Inc will bowl off this weekend.

The two-day Premier Division features FLOW Radcliffe against Guardian General Saints at the Sion Hill Playing Field and at the Arnos Vale One Playing Field, Police Two in battle with Victors One.

2019 champions FLOW Rivals is the other team that make up the top flight.

The five teams will play each other twice, as they go in search of the winner’s purse of $10,000, up from $5,000 from last year.

Meanwhile, on Sunday, there are three matches down for decision in the first division.

At the Stubbs Playing Field, St Vincent Distillers Glamorgan face French Verandah SVG Community

College; MSDA Julius Anthony Northern Stars take on Bequia Keegan’s XI at the Buccament Playing Field and at Arnos Vale Two Playing Field, Police One entertain Smashers.

Matches in the first division, bowl off at 10 a.m., and are of 50-over duration.

Also part of the SVGCA Inc. competitions schedule, are the NLA Neil Williams 20/20, the SVGCA Inc. women’s 40-over and 20/20 competitions, the national club championships, the Zonal Under-15 and the junior secondary schools’ Under- 15.
