Sosvg participates in Sott Beach Games in Trinidad

On Thursday, October 17, 2019 a four-member contingent from Special Olympics St. Vincent and the Grenadines travelled to Trinidad and Tobago to participate in the 4th annual Special Olympics Trinidad and Tobago Unified Beach Games.

The members of the team were, athletes Jason Williams and Josh Gibson, coach Ashanka Quashie and national director Sezevra Joseph.

The team attended a two-day Unified Sports Coach and Unified Beach Games training workshop on Friday and Saturday. On Sunday, October 20 the athletes competed in the Beach Games held at Las Cuevas beach.

Jason Williams competed and won two gold medals in the 1500-metre Open Water Swim and the Aquathlon (run, swim, run).

Josh Gibson competed and won a gold in the Aquathlon (run, swim, run)
The team will return to St. Vincent on today t 4:25 p.m.
