SVG Masters’ cricket competition hosts six matches

Six matches were contested last weekend in the SVG Masters 20/20 competition.

On Saturday, Computec Belfongo beat Kirk Da Silva’s La Croix by 56 runs at the Sion Hill Playing Field.

Belfongo scored 149 for 7 from their 20 overs. Junior Bacchus hit 45, Rajiv Roberts, 33 and Curtis King, 24.

Amos Richards took 2 for 18, Norman Robinson, 2 for19 and Patrick Thomas, 2 for 27.

La Croix replied with 93 for 7 from their 20 overs. Benedict Phillips scored 34 not out. Rohan King and Veldon Chance took two wickets apiece.

Then on Sunday at the London Playing Field, North Windward defeated Davis Construction Bequia Masters by 23 runs. North Windward scored 169 for 5 off 20 overs. Garette Wilson scored 50.

Antus Wright took 2 for 38, bowling for Bequia, who replied with 146 for 3 from their 20 overs. Antus Wright hit 68 not out and Ormond Bellingy, 57. Rawle Baptiste took 3 for 19.

At Cumberland, Memorial Funeral Home North Leeward defeated General Hardware Pastures Masters by 6 wickets.

Pastures scored 103 all out from 16.4 overs. Deptor Culzac scored 31.

Alphie Gould took 4 for 35 and Lennif Hector, 4 for 9.

North Leeward scored 104 for 4 from 15 overs. Orlando Charles, 41, while Marvin Harry took 2 for 36 for Pastures.

At Park Hill, Stanley Dalzell’s Park Hill outdid Stanley Browne Stubbs by seven runs.

Park Hill scored 153 for 8 from their 20 overs. Denzil Frank scored 31 and Ricardo Thomas, 26.

Basil Andrews took 2 for 19 and Anthony Richards, 2 for 33.

Stubbs replied with 146 for 6 from their 20 overs. Dave Stapleton scored 38 and Basil Andrews, 26 not out.

Chris Adams took 3 for 22 and Denzil Frank, 2 for 18.

At Buccament, RSVG Police overcame Sion Hill by 129 runs.

RSVG Police took 200 for 4 from 20 overs. Gosnel Cupid scored 92 and Trevor Bailey, 61.

Gary Rodriquez took 2 for 24.

Sion Hill replied with 71 all out in 16.2 overs. Arrington Burgin scored 25.

Sigmund Allen took 3 for 12 and Leon Samuel and Gerald Gould took two wickets each.

And, North East beat Digicel Cato Heavy Equipment Glamorgan by 8 wickets at Sion Hill.

Glamorgan scored 94 for 4 off 20 overs. Dexter Small scored 36 not out and James George, 36.

Olanzo Jackson had 2 for 17, bowling for North East. 

In reply, North East scored 95 for 2 from 18.1 overs. Jofloyd John made 45 not out and  Elton Williams, 23.
