Outa Trouble stutter in Greiggs softball competition

Defending champions of the Caesar’s Real Estate, Hairoun Beer, FLOW, Nar Fren Dem Greiggs 20/20 softball cricket competition, Country Meet Town Outa Trouble, was humbled by Caesar’s Real Estate Nar Fren Dem.

This, when the two squared off last Sunday afternoon at the Greiggs Central Playing Field. Nar Fren Dem left the venue with the upper hand, as they recorded a 16-run win over the 2018 winners.
Nar Fren Dem posted 106 all out from 18.1 overs, Ceon Phillips struck 25.

Bowling for Outa Trouble, Kenron Williams took 4 for 8 and Davian Barnum, 3 for 21.

Outa Trouble’s response was 87 all out in 14. 1 overs. Mickel Mapp scored 22, while Wayne Garraway took 4/ for 17, to be Nar Fren Dem’s most successful bowler.

When Sunday’s action began, it resulted in a nine-wicket win for Dr Thomas Injectors over Red Lions.

Batting first, Red Lions scored 103 all out in 14.3 overs. Harvey Joseph topscored with 43.

Tex Franklyn was Injectors top bowler, picking up 3 for 22 and Quesnel Cottoy, 2 for 11.Dr. Thomas Injectors replied with 104 for 1 in just 9.1 overs, thanks to Keroy Roberts’ 69 not out.
Like the first, Sunday’s second match also saw a reduction of overs because of a late start.

Log Enterprises Supreme Strikers batted first, scoring 186 for 9 from their 15 allotted overs.

Darren John top scored with 95 and Augustus Ballantyne assisted with 27 not out.

Extreme Strikers’ response was 61 all out from 14 overs.

Danroy Fergus took 4 for 4 to ensure Supreme Strikers won by a massive 125 runs.

The issue of late starts of the matches, occurred on Saturday as well.

In a match reduced to 15 overs, Bank of SVG All Stars reached 126 for 5 from their allotment. Glenson Dasent led with 39 and Keyon Boyea, 34. Ajit Duncan took 3 for 18, bowling for Rasfarco.
At their turn at the crease, Rasfarco was dismissed for 116 from 14.4 overs.

Ramón Young hit 26, as Kelly Murray took 2 for 11 and Hugh Toby, 2 for 32.

Bank of SVG All Stars won by 10 runs.

Also on Saturday, CGM Gallagher Novice edged out RSVG Police by one run.

Novice scored 108 for 6 from their maximum 17 overs, with Donte Williams making 26 not out.

 Bowling for RSVG Police, Renford Jack took 2 for 19 and Osrick James, 2 for 20.

RSVG Police got to 107 for 7 from their 17 overs. Saleme George scored 23 not out.

Renrick Williams was the most successful bowler for Novice, taking 2 for 17.
