Outa Trouble undisturbed in Greiggs softball cricket competition

Defending champions of the Caesar’s Real Estate, Hairoun Beer, FLOW, Nar Fren Dem Greiggs T20 softball cricket competition – Country Meet Town Outa Trouble Family was emphatic last Saturday, when they dismantled Jackson Trading One Team by 10 wickets at the Greiggs Central Playing Field.

One Team made 39 in15.3 overs. Sunil James took 4 for 4 and Jerando Jardine, 3 for 9.

Outa Trouble Family needed just 4 overs to reach 40 for no loss.

Also on Saturday, Israel Bruce Smashers had a 37-run win over Hard Hitters. 

Smashers posted 136 for 6 from their 20 overs. JR Ashton topscored with 33. Zimron Humphrey hit 32 and Glenford Woodley, 25. 

Bowling for Hard Hitters, Shawn Williams took 3 for 15 and Kerwin Williams, 2 for 24.

Hard Hitters, though, responded with 99 for 7 from their 20 overs, as Renrick Peters scalped 3 for 12 and Keno Matthews, 3 for 22. 

Sunday’s fixtures were all affected by rain. 

The first saw a no-decision between Rasfarco and Belair Sunset Strikers. 

Travis Cumberbatch lashed 34 and Stein Joseph, 30, as Belair Sunset Strikers got to 114 for 5 from 11 overs. Levon Matthews had 3 for 26 and Theophil Baptiste took 2 for 22, as rain halted any further play.

In Sunday’s second match which was reduced to 15 overs, RSVG Police came out trumps by five wickets over Challengers.

Challengers got to 136 for 8 from their 15 overs, with Britnol Scott making 54.

Bowling for the lawmen, Shacky Green snared 3 for 34 and Leroy Baptiste, 2 for 21. 

RSVG Police responded with 142 for 5 from 14.1 overs.

Leading the charge was Okeiph Andrews who contributed 54 and Shacky Green, 30 not out. 

And in another 15-over affair, Owia Young Strikers beat CGM Gallagher Novice by nine runs. 

Owia Young Strikers batted first and made 113 for 9 from their 15 overs.

Azmon Forbes took 3 for 13 and Newbornne Joseph, 2 for 34.

Novice’s chase stopped at 104 for 9 from their 15 overs. Roderick John’s 41 was the best effort for Novice, as Davidson Lavia took 3 for 18 and Clifroy Hoyte had 2 for 2.
