SVG stays at 23 in INF rankings
St Vincent and the Grenadines held on to their 23rd place on the International Netball Federation (INF) Rakings, released recently.
Following last month’s hosting of the inaugural ECCB/ OECS International Netball Series, St Vincent and the Grenadines played 8 matches, winning 6 and losing 2.
St Vincent and the Grenadines, in the tournament, beat Dominica and Antigua and Barbuda twice, but had one win and one loss to Grenada and St Lucia in the double round event.
Grenada, which champed the International Netball Series, with seven wins and one loss, are at number 20 on the INF rankings, while St Lucia, which placed third, are at position number 22.
Before the tournament, St Lucia, which had a rating status, needed two matches to satisfy the minimum requirement of eight matches, to be on the rankings table.
Meanwhile, both Antigua and Dominica, which were without a ranking having played eight matches in the International Netball Series, thus are on the INF ranking table.
Dominica are at 35 and Antigua and Barbuda, 39.
Forty-two teams make up the ranking table.
St Vincent and the Grenadines returned to the ranking table in 2018, following an eight-year absence.
