SVG’s Pan American Games team named
St Vincent and the Grenadines will be represented in three disciplines (Aquatics, Cycling and Athletics), at the 2019 Pan American Games set for Lima, Peru from July 26 to August 11.
Swimmers Mya De Freitas and Cruz Halbich, along with Neisha Alexander, who is the manager/coach, make up St Vincent and the Grenadines’ Aquatics contingent.
Meanwhile, Zefal Bailey is the lone cyclist, with Emmerson Holder, coach, likewise, Brandon Parris is the only selectee for Athletics, with Chantel Legair travelling as coach.
Wayne Williams is the Chef de Mission.
Along with the representatives from the three disciplines, Vincentian Journalists Desmarie Greenaway and Rohan Thomas, will travel to Peru to cover the Games, an undertaking of the Games’ organisers, for all participating countries.
The XVIII Pan American Games will host 419 events in 39 sporting disciplines.
St Vincent and the Grenadines, is among the 41 participating countries.
