Victors One have mixed fortunes against Police

Victors One beat Police One on Saturday at the Arnos Vale One Playing Field, in the National Lotteries Authority Neil Williams 20/20 cricket competition, but were cornered by Police Two on Sunday at the Sion Hill Playing Field, in the NLA Premier Division One-Day Competition.

On Saturday, Victors One posted 175 for 4 from 17 overs. Miles Bascombe stroked 3 fours and 4 sixes in his 63 not out and Atticus Browne’s 61 was composed of 4 fours and 4 sixes.

Bowling for Police One, Vertil Davis had 2 for 28.

In reply, Police One 122 all out from 16.2 overs. Antonell Browne led with 56.

Atticus Browne was the pick of Victors One’s bowling, taking 3 for 19 and Travis Cumberbatch took 3 for 39, as their team won by 53 runs.

But on Sunday, Victors One could not replicate their efforts, against the senior Police outfit, and fell by eight wickets.

Atticus Browne was the topscorer with 57, as Victors One was dismissed for 129 from 22 overs. Browne’s knock included 6 fours and 3 sixes.

Beniton Stapleton grabbed 4 for 38 and Desron Maloney, 2 for 23, bowling for Police Two.

Maloney then blazed 2 fours and 4 sixes in his 48, with Marcus John lashing 7 fours and a six in his 45 and Salvan Browne, 2 fours and 2 sixes in his 25 not out, as Police Two rushed to 131 for 2 from 10.2 overs.

Atticus Browne had figures of 2 for 36.
