Fully Loaded and Smashers thrill Richland Park Oval

Fully Loaded and Smashers played to an exciting tie last Sunday afternoon, to fittingly end last weekend’s slate of matches in the FLOW Carib Beer Marriaqua 20/20 softball cricket competition.

Fully Loaded made 150 for 9 from their 20 overs. Las Haywood led Fully Loaded’s batting with 51.

Smashers ended their reply, also on 150, but for the loss of six wickets.

 But Sunday’s other two fixtures were lopsided, as Gomea Bombers and Country Meet Town Outa Trouble One outdid Adventist Youths and Clinchers, respectively.

Gomea Bombers posted  212 for 8 for 18 overs. Bowling for Adventist Youths, Sean Hazell had 4 for 12.

Julian Mc Nicholl’s 43, was the lead score in Adventist Youths’ response of 129 for 7 from their 18 overs.

Raymond Sayers had 3 for 22, bowling for Gomea Bombers, as his team won by 83 runs.

Then Outa Trouble One registered a 105-run win over Clinchers.

Outa Trouble One made 169 for 7 in 20 overs. Saski Weekes top scored with 45.

Clinchers were then dismissed for 64 from 14.2 overs. Kenron Williams picked off 2 for 18.

When action commenced on Saturday, Bank of SVG All Stars and Country Meet Town Outa Trouble Two, were the victors.

Bank of SVG All Stars defeated Sion Hill Tallawahs by two wickets.

Sion Hill Tallawahs scored 66 all out in 17.2 overs. Curtis Dorsette was the best bowler for All Stars, taking 3 for 6.

All Stars responded with 67 for 8 in 16.2 overs. Shamic Roberts took 3 for 2.

Gairy’s Construction Simple Boyz reached 112 for 4 from their 20 overs. Calbert Simmons led with 22.

Outa Trouble Two then got to 113 for 7 from 18.5 overs, despite Christian Williams’ 3 for 18.
