Two defaults in Marriaqua softball cricket weekend

Country Meet Town Outa Trouble One won by default over CGM Gallagher Novice in Saturday’s first decision of the FLOW/ Carib Beer Marriaqua softball cricket competition.

Then in Sunday’s second intended on-field action, Extreme Strikers, also got easy points from Street Fighters, who too, made a no-show at the Richland Park Oval.

When play actually got going on Saturday, RSVG Police clobbered 195 for 8 from their 18 overs versus Fairbaine United. Saleme George topscored with 59.

Fairbaine United in response was dismissed for 43, as RSVG Police won by 152 runs.

In Sunday’s opening fixture, Hard Hitters powered past Dr Thomas Injectors by five wickets.

Dr Thomas Injectors made 80 for 7 in 15 overs. Keroy Roberts led with 30.

Bowling for Erwin Williams had 3 for 16. Hard Hitters replied with 83 for 5 from 11 overs.

Keroy Roberts took 2 for 7, bowling for Dr Thomas Injectors.

And, CGM Gallagher Novice, when they showed, got a whipping from Gomea Bombers.

Novice, batting first, scored 139 for 5 from their 20 overs. Renrick Williams scored 55.

Gomea Bombers then responded with 140. Terrance Patterson hit a topscore of 53.
