Outa Trouble One win big in Marriaqua softball cricket
Country Meet Town Outa Trouble One carved out a comprehensive nine-wicket win over Gomea Bombers last Saturday at the Richland Park Oval, in the FLOW/ Carib Beer Marriaqua 20/20 softball cricket competition.
Bernard Bushay struck 46 not out, as Gomea Bombers made 96 for 6.
Richie Richards then lashed 45, as Outa Trouble One responded with 98 for 1 from just 8.1 overs.
Also on Saturday, Owia Strikers whipped Fully Loaded Boys by 52 runs.
Owia Strikers posted 127 all out in their 20 overs, to which Fully Loaded Boys replied with 75 all out from 15 overs.
Bowling for Owia Strikers, Desroy Lavia had 2 for 11.
Then on Sunday, Hard Hitters, Outa Trouble Two and Gairy’s Construction Simple Boyz, were winners.
Hard Hitters defeated Street Fighters by seven wickets.
Street Fighters were dismissed for 32, with Darley Duncan taking 2 for 2.
Hard Hitters then reached 36 for 3 in 11.1 overs.
Outa Trouble Two then registered a four-wicket win against Sopranos.
Batting first, the Sopranos were all out for 90 in 15.1 overs. Augustine Bentick led with 29.
But Outa Trouble Two’s batting, led by Sunil James’ 34 not out, got to 91 for 6 from 18.2 overs.
In between, Dennis James scalped 4 for 19, bowling for the Sopranos.
And, in the weekend’s final match, Jabarri Cunningham stroked 50, to lead Simple Boyz to 150 for 4 from their 20 overs versus Sion Hill Tallawahs.
In reply Sion Hill Tallawahs managed 144 in 20 overs losing seven wickets in the process, to lose by six runs.
Asbert Franklyn was the pick of the Simple Boyz’ bowling, taking 3 for 18.
