Titles pouched in SVGTA junior tennis tourney

SOME NEW NAMES emerged as the St Vincent and the Grenadines Tennis Association (SVGTA) staged its Easter junior tennis tournament at the National Tennis Centre from March 30 to April 5.

Sarah Foster took hold of the females’ Under-10 title, as she outdid all her opponents. Joining Foster as a winner in that age group was Zachary Mc Lawrence, who netted the male title.

Meanwhile, Yasmine Sandy claimed the females’ Under-12, with the male title going to Angello Morgan.

Winning the females Under-14 was Steadysha Penniston, as Afi Lucas, the male Under-14 winner, continued on his emergence as a promising tennis player.

Lucas was to show his worth as he copped the mixed gender title for the Under-18s.

Also trumping wa Xareah Byron and Suri Noel, who won the females doubles.
