Barrouallie softball picking up momentum

The 2019 National Lotteries Authority Barrouallie 20/20 softball cricket competition hosted four matches last weekend at the Keartons Playing Field.

 Recording wins were Auto Body and Paint Garage Challengers, Glen United, Dr. Thomas Injectors and Hill View .

 On Saturday, Challengers gained a nine-wicket win over Black Sand Resort.

 Black Sand Resort were bundled out for 28 off 12.1 overs. Kerwyn Browne took 3 for 4 and Keithlyn Williams, 2 for 6.

 Challengers rushed to 34 for 1 off 3.4 overs, with Britnoll Scott scoring 27 not out.

 Then Glen United beat Smashers by 156 runs.

 Glen United posted 206 off 20-overs. Ronald Scott scored 54, and Maxi Hackshaw, 45, while for Smashers, Chavel Cunningham had 2 for 27.

 Smashers, in reply, 50 off 13.4 overs. Chavel Cunningham scored 22.  Wayne Garraway grabbed 3 for 2 and Felix Baptiste 2 for 11.
  
 Dr Thomas Injectors defeated Guidance by 69 runs, on Sunday.

 Dr Thomas Injectors posted 123 all out off 19.2-overs. Kesron Ashton scored 38, and Ronique James, 25.

 Bowling for Guidance, Justin Samuel had 3 for 18, and Lovell Miller, 2 for 15.

 In reply, Guidance 54 off 14.5-overs. Milton Lewis scored 17, and Kemron Williams took 3 for 10 and Leonis Richards, 3 for 18.

 And, Hill View won from Questelles Police Youth Club by 26 runs.

 Hill View scored 105 for 9 off 20 overs. Devon Dickson scored 45. Carlson Hackshaw picked off 3 for 11 and Atnell Ash, 2 for 29.

 Questelles Police Youth Club 79 off 17.4 overs. Philbert Chambers topscored with 31.

  Devon Dickson scalped 2 for 8 and Handel Browne, 2 for 18.
