SVGTTA to host inaugural OECS schools’ TT tourney

The executive of the St Vincent and the Grenadines Table Tennis Association (SVGTTA), is busy putting plans in place to host the inaugural Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) secondary school’s table tennis tournament.

Teams from St Kitts, St Lucia and Grenada have confirmed participation in the tournament, which runs from April 4 to 8, at the West St George Secondary School.

This tournament, which is pitched at players 16 years and under, is part of a packed calendar released by the SVGTTA.

Apart from the inaugural secondary schools’ tournament, the SVGTTA will host an internal raking tournament on the first Saturday in each month, until November.

The SVGTTA nationals run from July 18 to 27, with the Independence tournament slated for October 21 to 26.

In between those two tournaments, are the Churches tournament, August 14 to 21, and the Business Houses tournament, carded for hosting September 18 to 25.

Meanwhile, the primary and secondary schools’ competitions are marked for October and November.

Additionally, the SVGTTA plans to be Caribbean Championship and Pan-Am qualifies in Guyana March 23 to 29.
