Kadeem Duncan multiple awardee at NEFL presentation ceremony

Upcoming footballer Kadeem Duncan made three trips to the presentation table on the of night Sunday 13th January at the Chili Playing Field, during the closing ceremony of the Hairoun / National Lotteries Authority North East Football League.

Duncan, a student of the Georgetown Secondary School, who played for Brownstown, collected double awards as best striker in the Community Shield knock out cup, as well as the first division, and was rewarded with a special award of best youth player.

Meanwhile, Nickron Billy of All Stars won the best goal keeper awards for the Community Shield knock out cup and the premier division.

Also, All Stars’ Dwayne Cupid was the player of the final in the Community Shield knock out decider and was the premier division’s best striker.

Similarly, All Stars’ Cartwright Franklyn was voted the best manager /coach in the Community Shield knock out cup and the premier division.

The other awards in the Community Shield knock out went to the All Stars’ duo of Eldon Pompey – best defender and Terrason Joseph – best midfielder.

Trophies for the Community Shield knock out cup, were compliments the House of Ellis organisation.

The remaining premier division individual titles went to Curtney Peter of World XI – best defender and Karson Hoyte of Chapmans – best midfielder.

Taking the best goal keeper accolade in the first division was Overland’s Jevon Williams – Overland; Androy Spring – Brownstown United, the best defender –Kenroy Ollivierre of Brownstown United and player of the final Trezine Da Souza of Overland.

And, DESCO was adjudged the most disciplined team, with its manager – James Browne, recognized by the North East Football League, for his outstanding contribution to the organisation.

President of the North East Football League- Otashie Spring; president of the SVG Football Federation – Marvin Fraser, acting director of sports and physical education – Dyke Cato and Minister of Agriculture – Saboto Caesar, gave brief remarks at the closing ceremony.
