Glendon James bosses Greiggs men’s 20/20 softball awards
Israel Bruce Smashers Inc.’s Glendon James was the toast of the awards ceremony of the men’s 20/20 of the Hairoun Beer/ FLOW/ Sea Operations Nar Fren Dem softball competition, which concluded recently at the Greiggs Central Playing Field.
James tallied 207 runs and captured 14 wickets, to be named player of the tournament.
His wickets count was also the most among bowlers, thus adding the most wickets award to his trophy collection.
Another award pouched by a Smashers Inc.’s player, was that of best wicketkeeper, with Delano Woodley being the recipient.
Scoring the most runs (257), was Erwin Williams of the 2017 winners Sion Hill Tallawahs.
Adjudged to have taken the best catch was Kelly Murray of fourth place team Bank of SVG All Stars.
Carlos James, of Country Meet Town Outa Trouble, was named the best manager, while Rahalio James got the best umpire award.
The other individual award in the men’s 20/20, that of the most loyal spectator, went to Julian Joyles.
And, declared the most disciplined team was Dr Thomas Injectors.
The men’s 20/20 competition was won by Outa Trouble, second was Smashers Inc., with Owia Young Strikers, third, and Bank of SVG All Stars, fourth.
