Dublin, Prince repeat 10k titles
IT – DAT Academy’s Meshach Dublin and Caswin Prince of X- Cel Track Club, repeated their hold on the local categories of the NACAC Chatoyer Endurance 10K, which was run last Sunday from Gordon Yard to the Chateaubelair Playing Field.
Dublin retained the male over -20 title, by clocking 47 minutes 11.55 seconds.
In the case of Prince, his 56 minutes 15.31 seconds put him ahead of the male veterans bracket.
There were new winners in the other categories.
IT- DAT Academy’s Slyford Lampkin was first in the male
Veterans’ female winner- Samantha Lynch
Under-20, as he timed 49 minutes 29.40 seconds, with another IT- DAT Academy’s athlete taking the female Under-20.
Odesha John’s one hour 3 minutes 11.55 seconds put her ahead of her competitors.
Winning the female over 20 was Shaquiella Laborde, who clocked one hour 03 minutes 20.77 seconds, displacing Zita Vincent of the Barrouallie Secondary, who was the winner at last year’s event. Vincent got in second.
And, Samantha Lynch was crowned female veterans winner, as she clocked one hour 20 minutes 56 .16 seconds.
The Barrouallie Secondary School had the most athletes completing the race, hence was rewarded with an EC$1,000 prize, which would come in the form of athletics equipment.
