Year One Technical and Vocation trumps SVGCC football

Last Monday night at the Victoria Park, Year One Technical and Vocational was crowned the new champions of the National Lotteries Authority/French Verandah St Vincent and the Grenadines Community College’s Inter-Divisional Football tournament.

A 5-4 win on kicks from the penalty spot over Year Two Division of Arts, Science and General Studies, landed the Tech Voc students the title, and more so, bragging rights until the next edition.

Both teams had failed to score during the 90 minutes of regulation time, despite having opportunities to do so.

Year One Technical and Vocational had a first-half penalty saved by Lemus Christopher, with Zidaan Simmons, being the villain.

Preceding the final, was the third place play-off, which resulted in the Police Youth Club gaining a 2-1 triumph over last year’s winners Year One Division of Arts, Sciences and General Studies.

Romario Grant and Ronaldo Williams scored a goal each for the Police Youth Club, which was trailing after Jerry Cato had put Year One Division of Arts, Sciences and General Studies in front.

The other teams which competed were Teachers/ Nurses Combined, Just Graduated, Year Two Technical and Vocational, All Saints University and the American University of SVG.
