Tama Hawks keep hold of Mustique 20/20 cricket title

Salanga Tama Hawks retained the Mustique 20/20 title last Sunday at the Mustique Playing Field.

Tama Hawks batted first, making 145 for 8 from their 20 overs. Elroy Baptiste, with 32, Omar Tucker, 25, and Razine Browne, 20, were the principal scorers.

Kevin Creese took 2 for 23, bowling for Rock Masters.

In response, Rock Masters were dismissed for 87, with Alvin Edwards scoring 31.

Calroy Ferdinand, with 4 for 16 and Oneil Thomas, 3 for 1, and three run-outs, aided Tama Hawks’ 58-runs triumph.

Omar Tucker scored the most runs (297), while Ferdinand copped the most wickets award for his 14 scalps.

Special awards were presented to Nyle Jackson and Simon Humphrey, for their years of service to cricket on the island.
