Greiggs softball cricket competition in full flow

 Israel Bruce Smashers Inc., LOG Enterprise Supreme Strikers, Moznet Strikers and Sea Operations Nar Fren Dem, all recorded wins in the men’s division, and Sea Operations Nar Fren Dem in the women’s division of the Hairoun Brewery/ FLOW/ Sea Operations Nar Fren Dem Greiggs 20/20 softball cricket competition last weekend at the Greiggs Central Playing Field.

In Saturday’s lone match, Smashers Inc, beat Caesar’s Defenders by 98 runs.

Smashers Inc. posted 124 all out from 17.2 overs. Delano Woodley topscored with 34.

 Zmar Thomas took 5 for 14 and Mandler Scrubb 2 for 27.

Caesar’s Defenders were bundled out for 26 in 8.3 overs, as Glendon James grabbed 4 for 3 and Renrick Peters, 2 for 5.

On Sunday, Supreme Strikers overcame Extreme Strikers by seven runs in a 17-over affair, because of a late start.

 Supreme Strikers batted first and made 134 for 6 from their 17 overs, Amall Francis scoring 36 and Kevin Johnson, 32 not out.

 Bowling for Extreme Strikers, Camron Young took 2 for 7 and Orland Durant, 2 for 42. Extreme Strikers response stopped at 127 for 8 in their 17 overs.

  Roland Durrant led with 49, while Handel Antoine took 3 for 11 and Tydel Richards scalped 2 for 33.

 In another 17 overs per side match, Moznet Strikers won from Challengers by three wickets. Challengers made 69 all out in 14.2 overs, with Kerwyn Browne, the topscorer with 17.

 Drake Matthews, 3 for 11 and Danny Baptiste, 2 for 24, were Moznet Strikers most successful bowlers.

 In reply, Moznet Strikers made 71 for 7 in 13.2 overs. Danny Baptiste made 19. Winston Bascombe snared 3 for 3, while Kerwyn Browne took 3 for 16, bowling for Moznet Strikers.

 And, Nar Fren Dem put aside Rasfarco by four wickets. Rasfarco made 79 all out in 18.1 overs. Nejreal Matthias struck 33. Cody Jarvis took 4 for 10 and Clenton Woods had 3 for 10.

Nar Fren Dem then replied with 80 for 6 from 13.2 overs. Kenford Collins led with 28, while Kimron Baptiste took 3 for 9.

 In the women’s 10/10, Nar Fren Dem had a seven-wicket win over Upsetters.

Upsetters batted first and made 68 all out in 9.5 overs.  Patrina Carter topscored with 47.

 Bowling for Nar Fren Dem, Louise Peters picked off 4 for 9 and Jenna Fredericks, 3 for 11. Nar Fren Dem replied with 72 for 3 in 8 overs. Koranie Collins scored 45 not out.
