Shamic Roberts stands out in Lauders 20/20 cricket competition

Shamic Roberts captured the Most Runs award, as well as the Hassan Williams-Player of the Competition award, when the LOG Enterprise Supreme Strikers/ Hairoun T/20 softball cricket competition ended, last Sunday at the Antoine playing field in Lauders.

 Roberts, though, had to contend with second place in the competition, as his team Sion Hill Tallawahs, was beaten in the final by Bruce Law Chambers Smashers Inc.

 In a nail-biting final, Smashers won off the last ball, reaching 141 for 8 from their 20 overs, in response to Sion Hill Tallawahs’ 140 for 7 from 20 overs.
 Taking the third was CGM Gallagher Novice.

 Smashers gained $2,500, Sion Hill Tallawahs, $1,500 and Novice, $1,000.

 Marlon Farrell and Shanley Lavia tied for the most wickets, as they both had 16 scalps.

 Fairbain United was adjudged the most disciplined team.
