North Leeward Starz ended the 2018 FLOW National Netball Club Tournament on a sweet note by taking the Division two knock-out title, last Thursday evening at the Kingstown Netball Centre.
This was the final encounter of the tournament, but as expected, it was a mismatch, as North Leeward Starz outclassed Nice Radio Clinchers in a dour affair.
North Leeward Starz, which made visible progress in the standard of play throughout the tournament, showed their superiority in the finale, by outclassing Nice Radio Clinchers, 16-7, 36-17, 48-23, and finally 71-28.
North Leeward Starz finished third in the league competition, which was won by French Verandah X- Ceed. Placing second was Island Blends Maple.
The other knock-out winners were Mitres – Division 1, SVG General Maple – Division 3 and Sion Hill Junior Netball Team – Division 4.
In the league competition, in Division 1, Mitres placed first; Metrocint General Insurance Maple – second and Twilight Trading X-Ceed was third.
SVG General Maple won Division 3 of the league competition, ahead of second place OSCO Ball Warriors and the National Under-16 was third.
Sion Hill Junior Netball Team won the Division 4 league title, with Jaguars Netters, second and Island Blends Success Radio, third.
Sion Hill Junior Netball Team also was adjudged the most disciplined team in the entire tournament and Division 2 outfit, Q- Tech Solutions Netters, the most improved team overall.
Twilight Trading X- Ceed, won the teams’ shooting competition.
