Greiggs outdo Groove Street Ballers to win Biabou league title

Greiggs had a 2-1 win over Groove Street Ballers to champ the Hairoun Beer Biabou League title at the Biabou Playing Field, last Sunday.

A goal each from Gerrard Ashton and Romario Dennie, accounted for Greiggs’ tally, while Deomaji Samuel scored for Groove Street Ballers.

The defeat on Groove Street Ballers was the third inflicted by the Greiggs unit, during the 2018 Biabou football season.

In the third place play-off that preceded the final, Walvaroo City swamped Mount Grenan 8-1, with Dorian Dallaway hitting four, Brad Richards had a brace and, there were one apiece from the boots of Juma Gilkes and Jevorn Webb.

Mount Grenan’s lone goal was netted by Javon Charles.

Greiggs collected the winner’s trophy and medals, $1,500, while Groove Street Ballers earned $1,200, a trophy and silver medals, and third place Walvaroo City collected a trophy, medals and $1,000.
Greiggs’ Ajit Duncan was named coach of the year.
