DTVE retain SVGCC volleyball title
The Division of Technical and Vocational Education (DTVE) retained the QuickCash Corp inter-divisional volleyball title, beating Year Two Arts, Sciences and General Studies, last Friday, in the finals.
The margin of victory was 3-1 (23-25, 25-21, 26-24, 25-14) for DTVE, as they had to refocus, after losing the first set.
Preceding the final was the third place play-off, featuring Year One Arts, Sciences and General Studies and the Teacher Education Division.
Year One Arts, Science and General Studies took the consolation win, with a 25-5, 23-25, 15-4, triumph.
As expected, national player Ronaldo Franklyn of DTVE won the Most Valuable Player of the Tournament accolade, as well as that of his team.
The other most valuable player recipients were Lawrence Bascombe of Year Two Arts, Sciences and General Studies; Delshun Welcome â Year One Arts, Sciences and General Studies, and Kimique Allen of the Teacher Education Division.
