Alston Bobb hits second century for 2018

Alston Bobb, one of this country’s top all-round cricketers, slammed his second century for the 2018 national cricket season, last Sunday at the Arnos Vale One Playing Field, versus Providence Electronic Solutions North Leeward.

Following his 101 not out in the two-day championship versus Team Rivals in January, Bobb plundered 12 fours and a six, in his 124 not out, which pushed Victors One to 275 all out from 49.2 overs, in the 50-over competition of the Premier Division.

Bowling for North Leeward, Javon Samuel bagged 3 for 30, Donald Depesche, 3 for 32 and O’Jay Matthews, 2 for 60.

North Leeward’s response ended at 193 from 47 overs. Shammon Hooper top scored with 71, while good contributions came from Elron Lewis (45) and Leshawn Lewis (33).

Bobb continued his masterful display with the ball, taking 3 for 39, while Ronaldo Franklyn had 2 for 18, Norlan Williams, 2 for 40 and Atticus Browne, 2 for 29.

At Park Hill, Police Two smothered FLOW Radcliffe by eight wickets.

Radcliffe‘s score of 155 all out in 27.5 overs had Othneil Lewis as the lead batsman with 46 and Deron Greaves compiled 32.

Darius Martin hauled in 7 for 48 and Romario Bibby took 2 for 37.

In reply, Police Two, on the back of efforts from Andrew Thomas, 56, Desron Maloney, 42 and Rickford Walker, 32 not out, made 156 for 2 in 16.5 overs.

And at the Sion Hill Playing Field, Team Rivals won by default from Guardian General Saints.

This Sunday, Radcliffe play Saints at Arnos Vale One; Victors One and Team Rivals meet at the Park Hill Playing Field and North Leeward and Police Two meet at the Sion Hill Playing Field.
