Winners declared in SVGSA National Junior Championship

Kai Bentick, Jaydon Williams and Dru Samuel were crowned Grade A, B and C champions respectively, when the national junior graded championships were staged last Friday and Saturday at the National Squash Centre at Paul’s Avenue.

Bentick beat Mikal Quashie 11-6, 11-9, 11-5, 11-7 and had a win by default over Geronimo Ross, en route to his Grade A title.

Jaydon Williams, Grade B champion, cramped the style of Mikhail Quashie 11-3, 11-8, 8-11, 14-12, when the two squared off in the final.

Taking the third spot in Grade B was Zolandi Williams and fourth was Jayden George.

And, Samuel had the better of Laron Jones 11-5, 11-5, to take Grade C in style.

Finishing behind Samuel and Jones were La Rika Jones and Damarlia Cockburn, in that order.

Next on the calendar of the SVG Squash Association is the hosting of the XVII OECS Junior Championships, carded for the National Squash Centre, March 15 to 17.
