Red House triumphs in GGS Sports meet

Red house reigned supreme as the Georgetown Government School (GGS) held its annual sports day at the Chili playing field on Thursday, February 15.

Parents, teachers, students and well wishers all gathered to support their favourite house and cheer on the athletes.

For the winners’ spot, there was competition between red house and yellow house throughout the day. Blue house and green house fought each other hard trying to stay out of the cellar position.

The most anticipated race of the day was the boys under-13 four by four relay, the last event of the day. Red house came out victorious to close the curtains on the GGS sport. The victor ludorum was red house athlete Mitchran John with 32 points while Aniya Patrick of the Green house was victrix ludorum with 30 points.

Red house secured victory with 676 points followed by Yellow 641 points. Blue and green settled for the third spot, both ending with 586 points.
