Country Roots of Dickson copped all four categories when the St Vincent and the Grenadines Volleyball Association (SVGVA) hosted the first leg of the Volleyball Island Tours, last Saturday at the Girls’ High School court.

Country Roots swept the junior male category, beating Unique Touch 15-7. They also had a 15-13 win over Alliance and stopped Gremlins 15-6.

It was also an unblemished run in the senior male category, as Country Roots edged out Alliance 15-14, while 15-9 was the margin over Unique Touch and a 15-12 triumph over Gremlins.

And, despite losing to Gremlins One 14-15, Country Roots still took the senior females’ title. Country Roots beat Unique Touch 15-12 and Gremlins Two, 15-14.

Country Roots finished the first leg of the tour on 21 points, Gremlins, 12, Alliance, 10 and Unique Touch, 5 points.

Point man for the volleyball island tours Andrew Bramble told SEARCHLIGHT that his organization was satisfied with the first leg.
