Unique Warriors, Police One win in national First Division cricket

There were wins for Ruddy’s Electrical Unique Warriors over Sunrise Bakery Glamorgan United and Police One over Victors Two, when the National Lotteries Authority First Fivision hosted two matches last Sunday. 

At the Stubbs Playing Field, Glamorgan United, choosing to bat, caved in for 112 from 28.1 overs.

Glamorgan United’s lead scorers were Troy John, 30, Augustus Mofford, 21. Also helping to prop up their batting were 28 extras.

Bowling for Unique Warriors, Joseph Medford had 6 for 23 and Bill Edwards, 2 for 6.

Isaac Haywood, 38 not out and Bill Edwards, 30 not out, along with 23 extras, plotted Unique Warriors’ reply of 113 for 3 from 23.3 overs.

Keimon John took 2 for 26, bowling for Glamorgan United.

Police One’s triumph by 64 runs was achieved at the Buccament Bay Playing Field.

Police One, after calling correctly at the toss, batted and compiled 202 all out from 33.4 overs. The main contributors to that total were Peter Morris, 40, Antonell Browne, 38 and Dion Bynoe, 33.

Kishore Shallow picked off 3 for 34, Zivorn Walker had 2 for 31 and Phillip Baptiste, 2 for 43.

Victors Two’s reply halted at 138 in 32.4 overs. Topping the batting were Zivron Walker, 35 and Jadon Jacobs, 29. Victors Two also benefitted from 39 extras.

 Bowling for Police One, Vertil Davis had 4 for 35 and Renford Jack, 3 for 26.
