Aztecs, again last Saturday night, finished top of a 3 x 3 basketball series, being staged by the St Vincent and the Grenadines Basketball Federation.

Facing Calliaqua United on their home court, the Calliaqua hard court, was no problem for the Aztecs quartet led by Dareo Glasgow, as they trumped in the final, 13-7.

Both Aztecs and Calliaqua ditched their opponents in the preliminary round and in the semi-finals.

Before the two went head-to-head in the final, Aztecs had a 10-8 win over Gamerz and Calliaqua United doused Heat Wave 15-9, in the semi-finals match-ups.

It was the second 3 x 3 tournament held for 2018 at the same venue. Aztecs won the first.

3 x 3 basketball is played with three players versus three on half court, with one substitution per team.

The duration of each match is 10 minutes and there is a 12-second shot clock.

Every successful shot inside the arc is awarded one point, while every successful shot behind the arc is awarded two points.
